1946 - Blessed Sacrament Cadets
junior co-ed parade Corps formed.
1952 - All male corps adopts the
name Golden Knights and enters field competition.
1954 - First National Championship
title won - 26 months after first field competition. Both VFW and AL Nationals won.
1955 - Third National Championship
title won; first National Dream won.
1956 - Fourth National Championship
title won; 2 NJ State Championships; second National Dream.
1957 - Fourth National Dream
1958 - Won 20 of 21 contests,
including both State and both National Championships.
1959 - Won 17 of 21 contests,
including the VFW Nationals.
1960 - Won 18 of 19 contests,
including both States and the AL National Championship.
1961 - Won 14 of 20 contests;
2nd in VFW Nationals; won a NJ State Championship.
1962 - Won 14 of 19 contests,
including a NJ State Championship.
1963 - Won corps' first and only
World Open title. Won corps' 9th and last National Championship
1966 - Beat all national contenders
at the Dream Contest.
1969 - Won preliminaries at American
Legion nationals; won 10th National Dream.
1970 - 2nd in VFW Nationals Prelims, 4th in finals.
Won World Open Prelims, 2nd in Finals - and won high horns and drums.
1971 - Corps again goes co-ed.
1972 - Junior corps' last

Won nine National Championships and 19 State Championships.
Won 11 Dream Contests of 14 appearances. Won the first World Open; placed 1st or 2nd in over 82% of all contests entered from 1954 - 1972;
placed in top 5 in 19 of 21 Nationals entered (7th in the other two). From 1958 to 1963 placed first in 112 out of 135 contests.
To this day, only BSGK and the Blue Devils have over 100 wins that represent over 50% of all contests entered (BS won 53.84%, with over 246 firsts).
1973 - Junior corps disbands.
1975 - Senior competing corps
1976 - Senior corps disbands.

getting back into the gold blouses, returning to the tradition of
Wildwood in June.

1997 - The year of the Road Trip

1998 - Emerald + Gold : Who could

2000 - The return of the CID in all
